MAKING THE CUSHION

  1. Cut a circle of 48 cm in diameter out of the material. Fold the rest of the material lengthwise. Fold the circle in half and place the fold 2 cm away from the open edge of the material. Cut 2 semicircles.
  2. Stitching the zip: Put the 2 semicircles RS together and stitch only 4 cm at each end. Work running stitches in the middle. Put the zip with RS on the open seam (of the running stitches) and pin together. Stitch on both sides of the zip on the RS. Pull out the running stitches. Open the zip a few centimetres.
  3. Stitch the crocheted circle to the material circle.
  4. Place the 2 circles with RS together and stitch around. Leave a small opening (for inserting the 2 ends of the cord). Turn the cushion through to the right side. Press the seam.
  5. Stitch the cord around the cushion and insert the ends through the opening. Stitch together.
  6. Put the inner cushion inside.
