This cute idea is from Hanielas Food and Photography. There is a saying on Pinterest: “I saw, I pinned and I made” – this is exactly what I did: I just had to try it at home.

For the roasted potatoes I’ve cut 4 large peeled potatoes in 1cm thick slices and used star-shaped cookie cutters to cut out the shapes. (I don’t have a heart cutter – yet!) I called in Emma’s help – Mom off course had to help as the potatoes are quite hard to get through, but she loved rolling it in the olive oil and garnishing it with rosemary sprigs. Bake for 30min at 200ºC and remember to turn half way through. You can use the “leftover potatoes” for mash – or Mom and Dad should just eat the “ugly” bits!

HINT: Invest in a plastic step – no more tantrums from your toddler because she can’t be part of the action in the kitchen!
